Grok says: In Randumb Thoughts episode 376, “Blue Wave,” host Darren O’Neill checks in after the election results and admits he’s largely tuned out of the news cycle. What passes for news now, he argues, is mostly propaganda mixed with recycled video clips that social media presents as brand new. He walks through the predictable swing of American politics, the appeal (and historical track record) of socialism, the incoming lame-duck period, and why he expects a wave of presidential pardons followed by lawfare. Along the way, he points listeners toward other shows covering the same territory and questions why so many voters seem willing to make their own lives more expensive.
The episode then shifts into practical AI territory. Darren details how he’s using GrokBot to handle real tasks—like pulling his Meijer grocery receipts and auto-filling weekly carts based on past purchases, sale items, and seasonal habits—plus other bot uses for price monitoring and simple automation. He also covers AI’s impact on web design and coding, including how he rebuilt the Unrelenting podcast site and created custom audio tools without traditional programming skills. The show closes with a look at ChatGPT’s new Locked Chats feature and a value-for-value reminder. If you want a mix of post-election reality check and hands-on AI ideas you can actually use, this episode delivers both.
